| Sparkling water and stark winter light combine to accentuate the breathtaking beauty of Stewart Island, New Zealand(Rakiura, Aotearoa). This painting is from a journey around the small islands named Faith Hope and Charity and are located in the Patterson Inlet. This particular journey through the inlet revealed almost mirror-like reflections, with just a hint of a breeze. |
605 x 510 mm (Approximately 24 x 20 inches) on a floating frame made of gessoed MDF. The frame has been created especially to give the appearance of floating away from the wall. The edge of the image, which is approximately 2 cm thick, has been hand gilt.
