I am now in studio working on a series of paintings for an exhibition in late 2008 or early 2009 with the working title “Ephemeral Perception”. This is one of several studies for this exhibition. I am having a lot of fun creating these pieces. They are a complete departure from my usual style and were done to practice technique. I couldn’t resist playing with them. I hope you enjoy them.
Nebulus Celebration is my interpretation of the Hubble image entitled "Helix Nebula". It is a "close-up" of that Nebula. In this, I used gold, silver and copper leaf as my "paint". The support for this painting appears to float from the wall on which it is hung. |
