I am now in studio working on a series of paintings for an exhibition in late 2008 or early 2009 with the working title “Ephemeral Perception”. This is one of several studies for this exhibition. I am having a lot of fun creating these pieces. They are a complete departure from my usual style and were done to practice technique. I couldn’t resist playing with them. I hope you enjoy them.
Tri-Metallic Weave is a study exploring the painting of a weave, in particular, the weave used for the Maori food basket or kete. I added to the fun by playing with gold, copper and silver leaf. |
