Artist Statement
In my view, photography is an art form no different than a painting or sculpture, as both record an artistic interpretation of reality. My objective as a photographer is to creat memorable and aesthetically pleasing images. I notice the delails of objects, people, scenery; and a picture is formed. Likewise, sometimes I preconceive an image in my mind, and my camera finds the objects that can best portray that image.
I believe when looking at a photograph your gut reaction comes first. You like it, you don't like it. This pleases me. That doesn't. Often, it stops there. It might occur, however, that you want to go further, you want to explore the picture.
Biography
I began exhibiting in the New York metropolitian area in the 70's. In addition to fine art photography, I have contributed to commercial projects, including product photography, brochures, yearly reports, publicity photos and artist profolios.
