| "Fraser River South Shore" |
| This is an oilpainting on board, Image 12 x 16". Early in the morning, I drove quite a distance from home to get to the South Shore of the Fraser River. The sun had just risen. Working on the composition, emphasizing the negative spaces between the logs, it took me all day to complete the painting. By the time I finished, all shadows and lights had reversed as the Sun was now in the West. |

| This is a typical scene looking out on the mighty Fraser, seeing the logs and the anchored boats. I decided on a composition which did not have a horizon but just takes in the water. |
