Artist Statement
In the study of the particular I seek a glimpse of the universal...the interplay of shapes colour and light fascinate and delight me and result in realism, fantasy and abstraction in my work.
My hope and belief is that each viewer will find a new perspective on the world we all share and find it enlightening personally.
Biography
Born in England a long time ago!-I have travelled many exotic parts of the world and presently live in Canada. I have worn many hats in this time, nurse, mother, midwife, lab tech but always working in some form on my art.
Presently I am working in a large studio which I share with 2 other artists here in Peterborough Ontario.
Resumè
Learning where ever I find my self I have studied with many Canadian artists, Keith Keller in San Miguel d'Allende, Mexico; briefly at The Art Students League, NY; with Leida Blom and Syl Pepperkamp, Holland; and at the artists residency at Can Serrat, near Barcelona.My participation in the 2005 Florence Biennalle showed me a whole new world ...the international work and intense artistic atmosphere and conversations as well as the informative and inclusive conferences and lectures and critiques
