| I met Mrs. Mazer sitting on a bench in Central Park near east 79th street. She told me about her fifteen children and how she managed to bring them up in the thirties,in Manhattan, in a building which was a cooperative ,but not as we know them today. It was a cooperative living situation. Each night another family cooked...... baby sat and participated in the workings of the apartment building . It was real community living. The painting was bought by a collector in Casablanca Morroco from an exhibition in Paris. |
