| Painting is currently on tour as an award winner with the Oregon Watercolor Society spring show. This was a boat dock and haul-out when when my husband was a boy. I was glad when they repainted it recently that they didn't paint over the old sign. Watercolor on yupo. |

I work primairly on a paper called Yupo, which is a slick, plastic surface originally designed for professional printing. This appeals to me because watercolors do not sink into the paper and lose any brilliance and because of the curious and interesting drying patterns that can be encouraged with the use of a heat gun. |
