Artist Statement
In the frailty of flowers, I often find similarities as my emotions. I depict my artistic vision through the flower concept based on mind and spirit.
Biography
Born in Korea, Mae Jeon received a BS in Graphic Art and a MFA in Advertising design from Hong- Ik Art College in Seoul, Korea. She had worked in the design profession for 30 years in Tokyo, Seoul and in New York.
Mae discovered the digital medium in 2000, started creating fine art pieces in floral subject. She had her first solo show in digital media as she retired from her commercial art profession in 2003. Then after, she participated for the invitational show in Schacknow Museum of Fine Art in Florida, also participated in the Florence Biennale in Italy. She exhibited her digital prints in many art shows including 2007, 2008 New York Art Expos. She had 4th solo show in the Museum of Americas in Miami, Florida in 2008. Her digital artwork has been featured in numerous art magazines and collectors art books in United States and in Europe since 2002.
