"Polinearism" - is an art form that chronicles a new beginning in life.
Sarah Esther Herrera of Livingston and John Nicol of Fraserburgh, Scotland, were married at The Manor in West Orange on Saturday, September 6. The bride is the daughter of Lota G. and Apolonio (Pol) S. Herrera. The bridegroom is the son of Audrey A. Nicol and the Rev. Forbes Nicol, who was the officiant.
The wedding was heralded by a processional featuring bagpiper John Nisbet playing " Highland Cathedral." The couple exchanged vows in a traditional Scottish Hand-Fasting Ceremony, whereby the couple's hands are bound by rope or ribbon, from which is derived the expression "Tying the Knot". After concluding the ceremony, the bride and bridegroom are then unbound to walk together along the same path of life, voluntarily "bound" to each other by personal oral vows, thus taking " A New Beginning."
Wedding photos may be seen at Bongfarinas.com, and video on You Tube by typing in " The Wedding of Sarah and John Nicol." |
