Biography
Shirley has been artistic from earliest childhood, painting and drawing, then later trying to take 'arty' photos with her Brownie camera. She became serious about photography in 1984 when she was given her own 'good' camera, a Pentax Super Program. She now has a Nikon N90, and various lenses, etc. She began teaching herself photography through reading and trial and error. Later, she took a course from New York Institute of Photography, graduating in 1991. Shirley taught herself how to use the computer and is now adept at manipulating and creating fine art from her photos. Her printer is an Epson Photo Stylus 2200 which produces high quality fine art prints.
