Artist Statement

In any of my work I am exploring the mood of the moment striving for realism but also expressing my feeling. I am as passionate about the human face and figure as I am about the landscape and the flowers in my backyard. I marvel at the fleetingness of each experience.

Biography

Born in Dresden, Germany, Ingeborg was educated and trained in classical music. After moving to Vancouver, B.C., Canada in 1952, she began painting in the Canadian Rockies and received her formal Fine Arts education and degree in Vancouver.Ingeborg raised 4 children, is a proud grandmother of 10 and waiting for the seventh great-grandchild. She graduated from Art College at age 50 and started selling her Pastel Landscapes of Mt. Seymour before she ever took an art class. Ingeborg still teaches privately, gives and supervises workshops and is actively painting averaging l portrait every two weeks, a figurative oilpainting once/month besides the regular lifedrawing routine. My art and my connection to other artists keeps me focused and young.
