Artist Statement
I work almost exclusively in watercolour. It gives beautiful integrations of different colours and allows me to work in detail. I search to incorporate powerful light and strong, rich colour. I paint realistically but am more and more experimenting with the interpretive in both colour and subject. The subjects that I usually paint are landscapes, children, and flowers. I like to have a challenge, so I have also done salmon, trucks and foreign landmarks and am always open to trying interesting subjects.
